Soooooo, Leap are proud to present there Festival entry for 2019...
BU21 by Stuart Slade
This is by far one of the most contraversal, exsplosive, real productions that Leap have taken on and I am so excited to be directing it.
I first saw BU21 at Theatre 503 in March 2016 it was so different from the plays and musicals I had been watching in the West End it just blew me away with superb acting and great directing in such a small venue the play had major impact!
After the show had finished sitting in the bar having a few drinks with some of the other Leap members we were like "We have to do this play".
So in the words of Alex (or in our case Marcus) "Lean the Fuck In".....
I have an amazig cast of 6 actors who have brought there own unique twist on each of the charaters, it has been so good to see them delvelop over the psrt weeks. My version of the show feels completely different from the orginal yet still has that power and punch. There are points when you absolutly despise some of the charater and in the next moment you are agreeing with them or have complete sympothy for them. That is how clever this show is and the writing from Stuart Slade is amazing and takes you on such a dark, funny yet twisted story.
I would like to take this time to thank the actors who are all working so hard to create this amazing show.
Tickets are now on sale see the website or visit www.ticketsource.co.uk/leap
This show isn't for the faint hearted or those who are easilly offended, but it deals with the real world and what is happening now but from people from different walks of life.
I look forward to seeing you all there and supporting local theatre, with out you we wouldn't be able to continue. There are so many Theatre company's that need you support. So book tickets, some of the show are West End worthy!!
